I went to LA. We walked around Manhattan beach. There was a gray fog, the June gloom. This marine layer of fog usually burns off by the afternoon, but on that day it lingered through the evening and severely reduced visibility.
We checked into Terranea in Palos Verdes. We played tennis on the cliff above, and the view was breathtaking, definitely the most beautiful place I have ever played tennis.
Afterwards, we walked along the shore trail until it ended at a fence, then backtracked and walked in the other direction until the trail ended at Point Vicente Lighthouse.
