I visited the Museum of History & Industry, located on the south shore of Lake Union. The museum focuses on the history of Seattle. There are exhibits on Seattle’s roots, on the native peoples of Washington and the arrival of Europeans. There are exhibits on Seattle’s recent changes, about local startups and inspiring innovations. And then there are exhibits that complete the gamut of Seattle’s history, from wilderness to tech metropolis.
Overall, I found this museum underwhelming. There were a lot of posters and knick knacks (books, pictures, the marquee of a historically significant strip club), but few interactive exhibits.
There were some interesting oddities in the Grand Atrium, like the Toe Truck.
