I was looking back at photos I had taken this month, and these photos, while not very good, are attached to compelling emotional experiences.
While rollerblading, the sun was in the perfect spot to warm my eyelids, low in the sky and a little before sunset. I spotted a bench to sit on in the sun. A sign embedded in the concrete ground in front of me said to “Take a moment to rest your feet and think of those you love.” I did and tears fell down my cheeks, and I thought I should be more careful about following the instructions of random ground signs in the future.
The Mariners were playing the Athletics. One of the players on the Athletics is named Coco Crisp, and that is an amazing name, especially with an ice cold hard cider.
I saw children playing in the fountain, carefree. Those days seem so long ago.
I liked how a garden gift shop described itself as “difficult”.
While I was rollerblading, I spotted a random rooster moving about the front yard of an apartment complex. It was pecking at the black tarp on the ground. A few young girls were walking down the road. They spotted the rooster, yelled “CHICKEN!”, then chased the bird into the trees.
